A cirurgia plástica e os procedimentos estéticos realizados no nariz são sempre desafiadores, uma vez que o mesmo ocupa uma posição de destaque na face e se caracteriza por grande complexidade anatômica. O tratamento padrão-ouro para deformidades nasais é a rinoplastia. Nos últimos anos, se observa uma tendência à abordagens cirúrgicas cada vez mais conservadoras, com mais preservação e menos ressecções. Embora, a excelência da rinoplastia seja incontestável na reparação do nariz, a inoplastia não cirúrgica tem se popularizado desde sua conceituação em 2006, por Han et al. A rinoplastia cirúrgica, está habitualmente indicada no tratamento de discretos defeitos na ponta nasal, na regularização do  dorso osteocartilaginoso, na restruturação do radix, assim como na melhora funcional do nariz.
